An Olympian, six-time consecutive World Speed Skiing Champion and former world record-holder, Franz Weber still holds the North American record which he set in 1982 in Silverton, Colorado. He dominated the sport of speed skiing from 1980 to 1985, winning over eighty percent of the races he entered. He retired as World Champion in 1985, but returned to the sport of speed skiing seven years later to compete in the 1992 Winter Olympics at Albertville, France where he clocked his fastest personal time of 138.112 mph/222.222 kph (average speed). Feeling he had achieved his speed skiing goals, Franz permanently retired from the sport following the 1992 Olympics.

Franz Weber, Inc., a sports management and consulting company founded in 1984, primarily focuses on client hospitality, corporate outings and the representation of a select group of skiing legends, World Champion and Olympic athletes such as Franz Klammer who has been with the company since 1984. The company boasts a diverse roster of personable Olympic and World Champion athletes from sports such as skiing, golf, tennis and cycling who are popular for corporate hospitality. Franz Weber was selected by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to assist with the organization of the Governor’s senior staff cabinet off-site meeting. He was instrumental in fund raising for the Governor’s California Recovery Team. Franz initiated the idea that sparked Governor Schwarzenegger to commit to do a commercial to promote skiing in California.

When he is not skiing, Weber's schedule is filled with promotional and personal appearances for sponsors, celebrity sports events, speaking engagements and charity events. Franz is affiliated with and represents the following Companies:
